Two Years

It's been two years -- two wonderful years.

Nate and I celebrated in a very muted fashion that really reflected where we are in life right now. He picked me up for dinner around 6:30, and by 8:30, I was already on my way back to USC.

I was very glad to get to celebrate with him, though. Short though it was, I appreciated the chance to be with him.

His gift was very simple, and very meaningful. I have it propped up on my desk, where I can't help but look at it whenever I pass. It is a beautiful reminder of his love, and makes me smile through the hard times in life.

I can't wait for the day when we get to be together knowing that a goodbye is not imminent.
