No offense to those who love the opera, but it was... an interesting experience.
The audience was old and entitled, and hated us because we were (comparatively) "young kids" in decently expensive ($245, for the price of $12) seats. The performance was good but not great... honestly, I don't like opera so it was hard for me to appreciate regardless, but I do know what "amazing opera" sounds like. I don't think it was necessarily the problem of the singers; the acoustics at the performance hall were horrendous.
I got evil glares when I accidentally wandered two steps too close to the "exclusive donors" club.
Oh, and half of our class fell asleep.
